Elevation Pumping Adjustments

In cases of extremely shallow pump settings with extremely high elevations
above surface, you may be able to increase cylinder size of pump.
In cases of extremely deep submergence of pump below pumping level,
you may need to decrease cylinder size of pump.

Note: Adjustment to Pumping Elevation
on Table of Pumping Capacities chart.

Overload! - When operating Under
overload conditions, it may cause: fatigue and failure of Wheel Parts,
excessive wear of Gears and Bearings and decrease the production and
life of the windmill.

For warranty considerations, Consider Operating Ranges.

Sinker Bar: (use with rod strings
that are non-ridged or that are lighter than 43lbs. Per 100 Ft.) The
use of a steel shaft (1-3/16" Dia.), to tie sucker rod strings to
the working check of the pump, may increase the pumping capacity up
to 30% by keeping tension on the rod and helping insure full stroke
of the pump. A sinker bar that has been precision machined will also
help insure proper alignment of the working check (plunger) in the
cylinder, thus increasing the efficiency and expected life of the
pump.

Calculation for Sinker Bar Sizing:
1lb. Per 23' of sucker rod (10 lbs. Minimum)

Pony Rod: Usually a short rod
with precision aligned rod couplings used for alignment of the working
check (plunger) in the cylinder, thus increasing the efficiency and
expected life of the pump cups (leathers).
